CEO of Optimist Made – Fashion SHE-preneur, executive, boss babe, @rochellewebb @optimistmade
What is your passion?
I am passionate about making the world a better place and gifting those that crave a global experience, a chance to have that. At Optimist Made, the goal is to take people on a trip around the world and also give back to charities in those countries that we source from. It is a truly altruistic mission that we intend on fulfilling. Very simply, I just want to spread the love!
What is your area of expertise?
My entire career has been dedicated to marketing Fortune 500 brands through their growth strategies, pivots and new product development. After 15 years of executing global marketing strategy, I decided that I wanted to channel my experience towards start-ups and helping them grow and I did that. But, as a natural born entrepreneur, myself, it was to be expected that I would end up starting my own venture and that is when Optimist Made was born!
1 thing you do every day that contributes to your daily well-being?
The one thing I do every day is take a long, hard, honest look at myself in the mirror first thing in the morning, untouched and unvarnished by make-up or any other unnatural source of beauty and I remind myself that I am the one unique thing that exists in the world. I then vow not to change that for anyone and just simply… be myself! That is the one thing we have in this world, so let’s own it! Let’s play bigger than who we think we are!
Glimpse into your personal life?
I travel the world looking for cool people and cool designers to introduce to my people in the US. Every time that I come home, I run to my fur-babies, Rambo and Tank, who I adopted at 8 weeks old. To get me to agree to any time away… ask me to have a sushi dinner with you.
A passion dear to my heart is supporting and uplifting women. When women support each other, incredible things happen. Sweetrocks will carry that mission by highlighting women weekly in hopes of education, support and inspiration of women.
